Rhum Agricole Arcane Page 1 of 1

Rhum Agricole is exceptional because it is not made from molasses, like most common rums, but from freshly pressed sugarcane juice.

As a result, it has a fresh, vegetal, and mineral character, with notes of green sugar, citrus, and delicate herbs. It is an authentic expression of origin that makes Rhum Agricole a premium category favored by connoisseurs.

Origin and Character of Rhum Agricole

This style of rum has its roots in French colonial areas such as Martinique, Guadeloupe, Réunion, and Haiti. It is most often distilled in copper pot stills and then aged in oak barrels, which gives it a subtle complexity and elegant structure.

Every sip of Rhum Agricole reflects its place of origin – its soil, climate, and production tradition.

How to Enjoy Rhum Agricole

Due to its distinctive flavor, it is perfect for sipping neat, but also as a base for sophisticated cocktails, where its fresh and earthy character shines.

Mature versions (e.g., VO, VSOP, XO) offer complex flavors of caramel, wood, and tropical fruit, while younger types are fresher and more vibrant.
