Quinta da Pedra Alta

Quinta da Pedra Alta is a winery located in the Douro region of Portugal, specifically in the Soutelinho-Favaios area near Alijó.

The winery has a rich history dating back to the 18th century and is the only one in the region to have three original granite markers (Feitoria) from the demarcation of Port wine between 1758 and 1761.

With 35 hectares of vineyards located at an altitude of 230 to 550 metres above sea level, the winery focuses on growing traditional Portuguese grape varieties and producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The current owners and winemakers, João Pires and Matt Gant, combine traditional methods with modern techniques to create wines of exceptional quality and character.
