This tradition lasted for over 300 years, until 1970, when the "rum ration" (daily rum allowance) was definitively abolished.

Pusser’s rum is made according to the original Royal Navy recipe from a blend of Caribbean rums that age in oak barrels. It is characterized by its rich, full, and spicy flavor with notes of molasses, dried fruit, cocoa, vanilla, and a subtle smoky finish. Due to its authentic strength and character, it is often referred to as "the true sailor's rum."
