Types of Prosecco

Prosecco can be produced in various styles:

Frizzante – lightly sparkling prosecco, light and fresh.
Spumante – fully sparkling prosecco with more pronounced bubbles.
Still Prosecco – a rarer form, without bubbles.

Prosecco DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) – basic prosecco from the Veneto region.
Prosecco DOCG (Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore) – prosecco from the hilly area between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, considered the highest quality.

How to Enjoy Prosecco

Prosecco is served chilled (6–8 °C) in flute glasses. It pairs wonderfully as an aperitif, with light dishes, salads, fish, and also in mixed cocktails – the most famous being Aperol Spritz.
