Plantation Single Cask Venezuela 2010
Plantation Single Cask Venezuela 2010 is the latest and final limited edition rum from the "Under the Sea" series, featuring a design inspired by the rich underwater world of its country of origin. This time, the central theme is paradise, and you can taste the rum that was produced in Venezuela.
This 12-year-old molasses vintage rum was made using the column still method at the Venezuelan distillery Destilería Sofa in 2010, where it also aged for 8 years in bourbon barrels. The owner of the Plantation brand, Alexandre Gabriel, then selected 22 barrels that sailed across the sea to the town of Javrezac (in the French region of Charente), where it aged for another 4 years in oak barrels previously used for Ferrand cognac. The double aging process further emphasized the rum's depth, intensity, and complexity. It is a rum with a bold character and an ester content of 26 g/hL AA that faithfully reflects its rich Venezuelan origin and the craftsmanship of the experts at Destilería Sofa.
