Old Pascas

Old Pascas is a brand of dark and white rums that combines the quality of Barbados and Jamaica. It was created under the wing of the German company Borco International and is produced using experienced distillation methods – rums from Barbados are distilled using a column method, while dark rums are produced in slow-working copper stills according to Caribbean tradition. White rum, which is not barrel-aged, is distinguished by its smoothness, pure sugar cane aroma and light character, making it ideal as a base for cocktails.

The dark versions of Old Pascas, in particular Barbados Dark Rum and the stronger Overproof (Jamaica 73 %), are aged in old oak barrels by the sea under the supervision of cellar masters for several years. Their dark golden colour, full aroma with notes of vanilla and a slightly spicy, peppery taste create a harmonious finish – ideal for drinking on its own or in old-fashioned rum drinks such as Mai Tai or Cuba Libre.
