Description
From the Old Monk line, produced by the Indian company Mohan Meakin, comes The Legend, a well-ripened mixed rum in a bottle, which is said to be shaped like the head of HG Meakin, the company's founder. Old Monk The Legend matures in oak barrels for at least 7 years, although it is not officially recognized age. The color is as dark copper as other rums from the Old Monk brand. The smell is similar to cinnamon and cloves, but in The Legend you can also smell oak wood, orange peel, banana and caramel. The taste is a bit softer than in the 7-year-old Old Monk, in the mouth you can smell dried apricots, figs and black Orange Pekoe tea. Rum is the best of the Old Monk line in several ways.
