Every drop of Nixta Licor de Elote is produced by the distillery - Destilería y Bodega Abasolo honors the millennia-old Mexican corn culture through innovative spirit production that maintains its integrity from field to bottle.

Destilería Abasolo is located in the heart of Jilotepec at an altitude of 7,800 meters, making it one of the highest distilleries in the world.

The distillery is situated on land that was originally used for growing and drying corn and consists of restored old buildings - a stable, the original cellar, and a farmer's house - along with a modern architectural structure inspired by traditional corn storage systems called “sincolotes.” Every element of the distillery is designed to strengthen and rediscover the ancient tradition and contemporary craft that are part of the production process and Mexican culture.

The distillery employs local workers from Jilotepec and other surrounding communities, training them in corn trade and spirit production, and contributing to the local economy.
