Nega Fulô

The rum brand Nêga Fulô originates from Brazil and is produced on the family farm Fazenda Soledade, which was founded in 1827 above the town of Nova Friburgo. After more than 190 years of agricultural tradition, the farmers decided to start producing their own cachaça with the aim of bringing a premium product made using traditional technology to the market.

Cachaça ‘Nêga Fulô’ first appeared on the market in 1976, when the farm began to focus heavily on exports and efforts to establish itself among the quality cachaça brands. The symbolic name ‘Nêga Fulô’ celebrates the richness of folklore and the woman who, according to legend, sold the best cachaça in the region, becoming an icon of the brand.

In the second half of the 20th century, Nêga Fulô established itself as a ‘national myth’ – with approximately 90 % of production exported abroad, today it is a symbol of quality from Brazil. The farm adheres to traditional principles – pressing fresh sugarcane juice, double distillation in copper stills (alambique) and gentle ageing in oak barrels – which create a high-quality product.

Nêga Fulô is therefore more than just cachaça – it is the legacy of a farm with more than 190 years of history, a brand established by legend and craftsmanship that has succeeded both in Brazil and on the international stage.
