Krimskoye is a brand of sparkling wine with a rich history dating back to the late 18th century. The first sparkling wine in Crimea was produced in 1799 in small quantities for the Russian imperial court. It saw significant development thanks to Prince Lev Sergeyevich Golitsyn, who founded the Novy Svet winery in Sudak in 1878. Golitsyn was inspired by French champagne production methods and his wines gained international recognition, including the Grand Prix at the World Exposition in Paris in 1900.

During the Soviet era, Krimskoye became synonymous with quality sparkling wine throughout the Eastern Bloc. Today, the Krimskoye brand is produced in Moldova, as products from this region have been subjected to sanctions and export restrictions to the EU following the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Nevertheless, Krimskoye maintains its reputation and is popular among sparkling wine enthusiasts. ​

Krimskoye is made using the traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle, similar to champagne. Grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Aligoté are used for white variants, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Saperavi for reds. This process ensures a fine perlage and a complex flavor profile that has won the favor of consumers worldwide.
