Original Belgian, dry gin, is a smooth distillate made from juniper berries and other botanicals. It is traditionally distilled in copper stills with Scottish mineral water. It has a scent of fresh citrus and a spicy “finish” that gives it a pleasant roughness and sharpness.

Leonard J. Russell founded the company in 1933 and thirty years later his family acquired the Ian Macloed distillery, where this gin is still produced today.

This gin was originally an elixir and was created for a completely different purpose than today. Kensington was originally used as a remedy for kidney problems. Patients likely enjoyed it so much that it became a very popular distillate.
