To produce whiskey, quality water is essential, which is why when establishing the Jack Daniels distillery, he purchased the Cave Spring Hollow water source – a cave and its surroundings that are a rare natural source of crystal clear spring water. The layers of cave limestone naturally add various minerals to the water, contributing to its unique character.
