Glencairn Cut Crystal represents a luxurious interpretation of the classic Glencairn tasting glass, which is one of the most well-known glasses designed for tasting whisky and other premium spirits.
Unlike the regular Glencairn Glass, this version is mouth-blown and then hand-cut. Each piece is individually made, so there may be slight differences typical of traditional handcrafting – such as small air bubbles, marks from hand tools, or slight asymmetry. The manufacturer does not consider these to be defects, but rather a natural consequence of artisanal processing.
The glass retains the characteristic shape of the Glencairn: the wide crystal bowl allows you to observe the color of the whisky, and the gradually narrowing neck helps concentrate the aromas towards the nose.
It is made from 24% lead crystal and feels noticeably more substantial compared to the classic Glencairn. The Cut version weighs approximately 210 g, while the classic Glencairn weighs about 124 g. The volume of the Cut version is 170 ml.
It comes in a premium matte black box, making it suitable as a gift for whisky lovers.
