Frangelico
Frangelico is a famous Italian hazelnut liqueur that comes from the Piedmont region in northern Italy – an area renowned for its high-quality hazelnuts. This elegant liqueur is made from roasted hazelnuts, which are combined with cocoa, vanilla, and other carefully selected natural ingredients. The result is a harmonious drink with a rich aroma and a subtly sweet taste.
The name Frangelico is inspired by the legend of a monk named Fra’ Angelico, who, according to tradition, created unique liqueurs and herbal elixirs over 300 years ago in the hills of Piedmont. The distinctive bottle also resembles a monk's robe with a cord around the waist.
Thanks to the combination of hazelnuts, cocoa, and vanilla, Frangelico has a rich and creamy-nutty character that is very popular worldwide. The liqueur is perfect for slow sipping, but it also works wonderfully in desserts, coffee, or cocktails.
You can enjoy Frangelico neat, on the rocks, in coffee, or as part of dessert cocktails. It pairs excellently with sweet desserts and chocolate recipes.
