Flavored Gin Bobby's Schiedam Page 1 of 1

Flavored gin is a modern and creative variant of classic gin, bringing the freshness of fruits, herbs, and flowers to the traditional juniper flavor. With a wide range of flavors, it has gained immense popularity among cocktail lovers, as well as those who want to enjoy gin neat.

How flavored gin is made

There are several ways to prepare flavored gins. The flavor can be created by macerating natural ingredients (e.g., citrus peels, berries, herbs) directly in the gin, or by subtly adjusting the aroma after distillation. This achieves a variety of flavors – from fresh lime and grapefruit notes to delicate floral and sweet raspberry or rhubarb.

Character and use

Although they are distinctly aromatic, flavored gins contain no added sugar – they remain dry and have the same alcohol content as classic gins. This makes them ideal for summer cocktails, such as Gin & Tonic, Pink Gin Spritz, or fruity variations of Negroni.

Discovery tip

If you enjoy intense flavors, try Dry gin with a more pronounced juniper base or Sloe gin – a fruity gin with sloes that stands out for its sweet and sour character.
