Cognacs Extra De Luze Page 1 of 1

Extra brandies represent a category above XO, intended for discerning connoisseurs. Although the minimum age of the distillates is not officially fixed, Extra brandies are generally older than XO and often age for 15 to 30 years.

Taste and Character

Extra brandies excel with a deep, complex flavor and a long-lasting finish. They feature notes of nuts, cocoa, tobacco, and subtle spices that blend into a perfectly balanced whole. They leave a velvety sensation on the palate and a rich aftertaste that every connoisseur will appreciate.

Place in the Hierarchy

The designation Extra is used for brandies that are older and more mature than XO, but it is also a precursor to rare Hors d’Age brandies. This makes them an ideal choice for those who want to elevate their experience to the next level while still within the realm of accessible luxury.
