Carúpano

The Carúpano distillery is located in the fertile and humid Carúpano Valley in the state of Venezuela. The distillery was founded in 1762 by Spanish Captain Félix del Fierro. The distillery has undergone many changes since then. But despite so many years, the recipe for making rum has not changed to this day!

The distillery has been the legal and historical heir of the spring waters of the Chuare River since 1896, which is still used today for the production of high-quality Carúpano rums. They chose this spring because of its high mineral content and extra water purity.

Rums are aged in American white oak barrels, which enhance their complexity, aroma, taste and pungency.
