Carúpano – rum with a legacy since 1762

Carúpano is one of the oldest and most respected Venezuelan rum brands. The distillery was founded in 1762 by Spanish captain Félix del Fierro in the fertile and humid Carúpano Valley, where rum is still produced today using the original recipe and traditional craftsmanship.

Pure water and authentic craftsmanship

Since 1896, the Carúpano distillery has been the historical guardian of the Chuare River springs, whose exceptionally pure, mineral-rich water forms the foundation of every bottle. This natural source gives the rum its purity and balanced character – the signature of Carúpano.

Aging and character

Carúpano rums mature in American white oak barrels, enriching their aroma with notes of vanilla, cocoa, and caramel. Long aging adds depth and complexity while maintaining the smoothness typical of Venezuelan-style rums.
