Blanton’s

Blanton's is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who devoted more than 55 years to bourbon distillation. In 1897, he began working at the distillery now known as the Buffalo Trace Distillery, gradually working his way up to become its president. He was known for having bourbon bottled from a single selected barrel in Warehouse H on special occasions. This custom became the basis for the brand's philosophy.

In 1984, master distiller Elmer T. Lee, inspired by the memory of Colonel Blanton, decided to introduce the first bourbon bottled exclusively from a single barrel. This is how Blanton's Original Single Barrel came into being, going down in history as the world's first commercially available single barrel bourbon. This step ushered in a new era in bourbon production and showed that American whiskey could be just as exclusive and premium as Scottish single malt whiskey.

Since its launch, Blanton's has built a strong reputation both at home and abroad. The distinctive round bottle with a jockey stopper has become a collector's icon – there are eight different figures that together spell out "BLANTONS". Each bottle comes from a single barrel, hand-selected and filled without blending, ensuring a unique profile. Today, Blanton's is not only a tribute to Col. Blanton's legacy, but also a symbol of quality and originality, ranking among the most sought-after bourbons in the world.
