The brand Blackwell Rum was born from a desire to revive the rich Jamaican heritage and family tradition of rum production that Chris Blackwell has carried within him since childhood. Chris is not only a well-known figure in the music industry as the founder of Island Records, but also a descendant of a family that was behind legendary Jamaican distilleries – his mother came from the Lindo family, which owned Appleton Estate and J. Wray & Nephew.

After years spent in music, Blackwell decided to return to his roots and create a rum that would be an authentic representation of Jamaica. In 2008, he founded the brand Blackwell Fine Jamaican Rum, which aims to capture the "soul of Jamaica" – its rhythm, character, and wild beauty. He collaborated on the recipe with the legendary Master Blender Joy Spence from Appleton Estate, who helped him create a unique profile – a dark rum with a rich flavor and strong character, made according to a family recipe.

Today, Blackwell Rum represents not only a return to craftsmanship but also a strong connection between music, culture, and the Jamaican spirit. The brand prides itself on authenticity, quality, and the legacy of its ancestors. The rum is produced directly in Jamaica and is valued not only for its taste but also for the story it carries.
