Belsazar Vermouth is a contemporary German vermouth brand born in Berlin, blending the city’s urban lifestyle with the artisanal wine traditions of southwest Germany. It was founded by Maximilian Wagner and Sebastian Brack with the vision of bringing something new to the aperitif world—a vermouth based on local Baden wines, enriched with carefully selected herbs, spices, and fruits.

Production and character

Belsazar Vermouth is made from selected wines from the Kaiserstuhl and Markgräflerland regions, known for their freshness and minerality. The following are macerated in these wines:

• herbs and spices,
• citrus peels,
• flowers,
• as well as the local traditional "Südschwarzwald" macerate.

Each ingredient undergoes thorough maturation in cherry barrels, which gives the vermouth its smoothness, rounded texture, and typical German terroir.

The brand emphasizes minimal sweetness, clean flavors, and a drier profile, making it ideal for modern cocktails.
