Tiki Lovers is a rum brand created by Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck, who are also the creators of The Bitter Truth. After a successful entry into the tropical category with liqueurs like Falernum and Pimento Dram, they decided to continue further. During their travels as ambassadors of their brand, they often encountered tiki cocktails that lacked distinctive flavor. This inspired them to create blended rums that are perfect for making tiki and tropical cocktails.
Stephan, who worked as a sailor in his younger years, had the opportunity to travel through tropical countries and personally get acquainted with rum production in Caribbean islands like Jamaica, Trinidad, Cuba, and Barbados. Here he gained knowledge about the heritage of rum production, blending, and drinking. Alexander, a designer, bartender, and passionate rum enthusiast, became an admirer of Polynesian pop art and culture, especially after his first visit to "Mai-Kai" in Fort Lauderdale, a tiki temple from 1956 that is still in operation. Intoxicated by Polynesian dance performances and tiki drinks, he sketched his first ideas for the label of their new rum brand.
All Tiki Lovers rums are natural and have a higher alcohol concentration, ensuring a more intense flavor and aroma.
