Royal Oporto 20 Year Old Tawny Porto
Royal Oporto Tawny Porto 20 years old is produced by the traditional method. The hand-picked grapes are crushed and then fermented at a controlled temperature. Maturation and mixing takes place under the guidance of the winemaker according to the fermentation temperatures, the density of the vine variety and the desired sweetness. The final blend is the result of a selection of wines from 8 to 22 years old, aged in oak barrels. The grape varieties used are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz. The fine port gradually loses its original dark purple color and acquires subtle yellow hints known as Towny.
Aroma and taste: the simple fruitiness gradually recedes, with subtle aromas of spices, licorice, walnuts, vanilla, jam and oak. It shows richness, velvety texture and a lasting finish.
