Kentucky may be known for its bourbon, but no city does rye whiskey and high-rye bourbon better than Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Since the mid-19th century, this "whiskey city" has been synonymous with the finest rye whiskey in the world.

Between the Ohio River and Tanner's Creek is a monument to Lawrenceburg's rich distilling history, the Ross & Squibb Distillery. The world-renowned tradition of producing the finest rye and high-quality bourbons continues today under the strict supervision of Master Distiller Ian Stirman.

In addition to its prime business location along the Ohio River, Ross & Squibb Distillery and the distilleries that preceded it benefit from being atop the Great Miami Aquifer. The cold, clean water they use to make whisky is naturally filtered by limestone, reducing the sulphur and iron content that adversely affect the taste of the whisky. The result is a distinctive, spicy flavour that no other region can replicate.
