Despite its Russian name and inspiration, Rasputin Vodka has its roots in Germany. The story of this vodka is linked to the history of Flensburg, a small German town near the Danish border.

The history of the family behind this vodka dates back to 1738, when German entrepreneur Christian Detlefsen began engaging in the trade of spirits and distillates imported from America and Europe. Ninety years later, his heirs established their own Diederich Dethleffsen distillery, officially marking their direct involvement in alcohol production.

The Rasputin brand was created in 1989 directly in this distillery, in the town of Flensburg, approximately 500 m from the Danish border. The name, label design, and balance between strength and smoothness reflect the intention to present a product with a legendary character that stands out in the market.

Although the name Rasputin is associated with Russia, the brand prides itself on Western European quality and technical precision. The goal was to create a vodka that possesses the strength of a legend while being smooth enough for even the most discerning consumer to enjoy.
