The Rasputin Vodka brand was created as a tribute to one of Russia's most controversial historical figures, Grigory Rasputin, a famous mystic, healer, and confidant of the last Russian tsar. Its name evokes power, mystery and raw energy, which is also reflected in the character of the vodka itself – especially in the 70 % alcohol version, which has become the brand's icon.

Despite its Russian name and inspiration, Rasputin Vodka has its roots in Germany. It is produced according to a traditional recipe based on the purity of the ingredients, thorough distillation and precise filtration. The story of this vodka is linked to the history of Flensburg, a small German town on the border with Denmark.

The history of the family behind the production of this vodka dates back to 1738, when German entrepreneur Christian Detlefsen began trading in spirits and distillates imported from America and Europe. Ninety years later, his heirs founded their own Diederich Dethleffsen distillery, officially beginning their direct involvement in alcohol production.

The Rasputin brand was created in 1989 at this very distillery in Flensburg, approximately 500 meters from the Danish border. The name, label design, and balance between strength and smoothness reflect the intention to present a product with a legendary character that stands out in the market.

Although the name Rasputin is associated with Russia, the brand is based on Western European quality and technical precision. The aim was to create a vodka that would have the power of a legend and at the same time be smooth enough to be enjoyed by even the most discerning consumer. Rasputin Vodka was conceived from the outset as a brand that would attract attention – not only with its name, but above all with its content.

This has made it particularly popular in Central Europe and on the club and bar scene. Its eye-catching bottle, high alcohol content and legendary name have made Rasputin Vodka a product that combines boldness, purity and style.
