Powers Whiskey is one of the iconic brands of Irish whiskey with a rich history dating back to 1791. Founder John Power established a small distillery on Thomas Street in Dublin. He initially started as a craft producer, but due to a focus on quality and innovation, Powers became one of the most significant whiskey brands in Ireland.

In 1886 the distillery was among the first to implement bottling directly at the place of production. This move ensured authenticity and consistent quality for every bottle, which consumers quickly came to love. Powers was the first Irish whiskey to use the iconic bottle with a relief of a triangle, symbolizing its three main values – quality, craftsmanship, and tradition.

Throughout its history, the brand has survived challenging times, including the Prohibition era in the USA, economic downturns in Ireland, and increasing competition. Despite these challenges, Powers has remained true to its philosophy of producing authentic Irish whiskey with an emphasis on rich flavor and a craft approach.

Today, Powers is part of the Irish Distillers group, which includes other iconic brands like Jameson and Redbreast. Powers whiskey is known for its distinctive "pot still" flavor, pronounced spicy notes, and perfect balance between tradition and modern production methods.
