Platte Valley

Platte Valley whiskey is produced at the McCormick Distilling Company, one of the oldest distilleries in the United States, founded in 1856 by Ben Holladay in Weston, Missouri. The distillery was chosen for its natural limestone springs, which provided ideal water for whiskey production.

Throughout its history, the distillery has undergone several changes of ownership and names. During Prohibition in the United States, it remained open due to the bottling of previously distilled whiskey for medicinal purposes. In 1942, it acquired its current name, McCormick Distilling Company.

In 2016, the company resumed bourbon production at its historic distillery, continuing its rich history of whiskey production.

McCormick Distilling Company is known for its commitment to sustainability and green initiatives. In 2007, it introduced several green measures, including recycling and the use of renewable energy sources. Their product, 360 Vodka, is believed to be the world's first "eco-friendly" vodka, packaged in recycled glass and paper.
