Plasencia

The birthplace of PLASENCIA cigars is Nestor Plasencia, who was born in Cuba in the 1950s into a family dedicated to tobacco growing. However, during the Cuban Revolution, his family was forced to emigrate to Central America. Nicaragua became their refuge, but attempts to develop tobacco cultivation failed, and due to the Sandinist revolution, which affected the country's entire tobacco industry, Nestor Plasence's family emigrated again. Happiness smiled on them in Honduras, and by 1986 the family business was already producing 1 million cigars a year for various brands. In 1990, this production increased to 33 million.
Today, the PLASENCIA brand is already in the hands of the 5th generation of the family, which has expanded production to the once unsuccessful Nicaragua, and the debate is now one of the largest tobacco growers in the world. In addition to their own brand Plasencia, cigars produce for 33 other brands e.g. Rocky Patel, Alec Bradley , Total Flame, Gurkha and others.
