The Pacho Matrtaj brand draws inspiration from the legend of Pacho, a bandit from Hybe, a character known from the cult film Pacho, the Bandit of Hybe (1975). This spirit of bandit heroism and Slovak folklore is reflected in the brand's identity – the products are enriched with history, nostalgia and pride in their Slovak origins.

The producer, PACHO MATRTAJ Z HYBE, s.r.o., is based in Trnava and builds on traditional values and craftsmanship, which sets it apart on the market as a high-quality Slovak choice.

Pacha Matrtaj spirits are produced without added flavours, colours or sugar – they are pure craft products. Products such as the popular Frndžalica are aged in oak barrels for at least two years, using natural extraction and the wonderful ‘angel's tax’ (approximately 4% per year during the process). The packaging is handmade, involving at least 18 steps – from filling and labelling to the final design.

In addition to CSSR Vodka and Frndžalica, Pacho Matrtaj also offers other craft spirits, such as Borôvka, which is a blend of juniper and grain distillates. The entire range has a strong Slovak connection, and the packaging is often distinctive and striking – the bottles are printed with metal foil and have a unique cap, which enhances the feeling of exclusivity and authenticity.
