The name itself refers to Albert Michler – “Old Bert” was, according to historical accounts, the nickname used by his friends. The spiced editions of Old Bert use as a base 100% Jamaican pot still rum, which is combined with natural macerates of spices and fruits. Individual recipes feature ingredients such as Persian lime, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, black pepper, and tropical fruits. The result is aromatic rum spirits with a typical Jamaican character, fruitiness, pleasant sweetness, and a spicy finish.
