Non-alcoholic beer retains everything that makes beer beer – a golden color, refreshing bitterness, and the typical aroma of hops. The only difference is that it contains only a minimal amount of alcohol, usually up to 0.5% by volume. In some countries, beer with 0.0% alcohol is already considered non-alcoholic, while in others, this low threshold is permitted.

How Non-Alcoholic Beer is Made

The basis is the same process as with classic beer – malt, hops, water, and yeast. After fermentation, the alcohol is either gently removed using vacuum distillation or reverse osmosis, or its formation is controlled during fermentation. The goal is to preserve the authentic taste, aroma, and character of the beer, even without alcohol.
