Moko Rum

In 1896, brothers Ernest and Maurice Lasserre from the French city of Bordeaux decided to create their own rum brand "MOKO". The siblings oversaw the tradition of production and quality selection of rums imported from Martinique and Jamaica. They have perfected the technique of distillation and maturation to create the best drinking pleasure. MOKO rums were a huge success, they won many awards, but in 1960, due to the economy, their production was stopped.

In 2017, Phillippe Peyrat - a direct descendant of Ernest Lasserre, and his children Clémence and Eduard decided to revive the MOKO brand and re-introduce their heritage to the modern world.

Labels are designed to commemorate travel, rest and return to the 1950s. The paper overlay of the stopper refers to the then overlapping of the neck of the bottle with banana leaves.
