Merser Rum, officially known as Charles Merser & Co, was established in 2019 as a London rum distillery, founded by the Hayman family. They have deep roots in an iconic 19th-century London rum shop. The brand's goal was to revive the history of rum blending in London – the company became the first distillery of its kind in the British capital in over a century.

Merser sources high-quality rums from various Caribbean regions — Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Dominican Republic — and ages them for varying lengths of time, from younger versions (up to 8 years) to older vintages (up to 12 years). These rums are then transported to London, where they are carefully blended in the blending workshop and allowed to mature in ex-Scotch whisky barrels for several weeks to months, aiming for a smooth, elegant profile without added colors or sweeteners.
