The Domaine Maurice Schueller winery is one of the traditional family-run wineries in France. The Schueller family originally comes from Switzerland, but after the Thirty Years’ War they settled in Alsace, where they gradually built a winemaking tradition that continues to this day. In the 19th century, the family moved to the village of Gueberschwihr on the Alsace Wine Route and began developing their own vineyards and cellars.

An important milestone came in 1934 when Edouard Schueller purchased the buildings that now house the winery. Later, his son Maurice expanded the business and started bottling wine directly at the estate, strengthening sales and exports to several European countries. In 1994 the winery was taken over by Marc Schueller, who combined family traditions with more modern winemaking techniques and gradually expanded the company’s commercial activities.

Today, the winery produces typical wines of the Alsace region, including varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer, as well as wines from prestigious Alsace Grand Cru vineyards. Their wines are characterized by a combination of traditional methods, a strong focus on terroir, and a family approach that has been passed down from generation to generation.
