Maen Japanese Whiskey is a brand that draws inspiration from the Zen philosophy and its principle of the perfect circle, known as ensō. This circle, once drawn, remains unchanged, symbolizing the perfection and character of its creator. Likewise, once made, Maen whiskey does not change, reflecting the consistency and precision with which it is created.

Maen is produced in the region of Japan where the purest spring water, the highest quality ingredients and the humid subtropical climate create ideal conditions for distilling and maturing Japanese whisky. This whiskey comes in three different variants: a Japanese blended whiskey, an 8-year-old blended single malt whiskey and a luxurious 12-year-old blended single malt whiskey.

The Maen Perfect Circle logo is the work of Juju Kurihara, a 5 Dan Japanese calligrapher who has been doing calligraphy since she was 13 years old. After working as a studio photographer in London and Sydney, she moved to Madrid, where she started working as a calligrapher. He currently runs his Sosekido calligraphy school in Berlin, where he acts as a cultural bridge between Japan and other countries through the art of calligraphy.
