Maen Japanese Whisky is a brand inspired by Zen philosophy and its principle of the perfect circle, known as ensō. This circle, once drawn, remains unchanged, symbolizing the perfection and character of its creator. Similarly, Maen whisky, once produced, does not change, reflecting the consistency and precision with which it is crafted.

Maen is produced in a region of Japan where the purest spring water, the highest quality ingredients, and a humid subtropical climate create ideal conditions for the distillation and aging of Japanese whisky. This whisky offers three different variants: blended Japanese whisky, 8-year-old blended pure malt whisky, and luxurious 12-year-old blended pure malt whisky.

The Maen Perfect Circle logo is the work of Juju Kurihara, a 5 Dan Japanese calligrapher who has been practicing calligraphy since she was 13 years old. After working as a studio photographer in London and Sydney, she moved to Madrid, where she began working as a calligrapher. She currently runs her calligraphy school Sosekido in Berlin, serving as a cultural bridge between Japan and other countries through the art of calligraphy.
