Kraken is a dark Caribbean rum named after the legendary sea monster that, according to tales, lurks in the depths of the ocean. Its color is as deep as ink, with a spicy aroma and a flavor full of notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and caramel.

The legend that named the rum

According to legend, the rum was discovered after an attack by a giant Kraken on a merchant ship carrying barrels of rum and spices. Miraculously, they survived – stained with the monster's black ink – and gave their name to this exceptional distillate.

Craft and the taste of the sea

The Kraken Black Spiced Rum is made from molasses and aged in oak barrels, into which a blend of 13 spices is added. The result is a full, spicy flavor with notes of vanilla, nutmeg, and caramel. The bottle, styled like Victorian rum with iconic handles, was first launched in 2010 in Great Britain.
