Dutch gins made according to the original recipe of King William III (also known as William of Orange) from 1698.

The original recipe, after two years of intensive searching, was found in 2016 by Alexander Janssens in the British Library in the section of rare books. The recipe contains a list of all the original ingredients, but the quantities are missing. The task of deciding the exact amount in the production of Gin in 1689 was undertaken by the Dutch distillery Herman Jansen from Schiedam, which has been operating since 1777. Together they created an excellent gin, which in 1689 conquered the British island.
