Facundo Rum Collection is an ultra-premium brand launched by the Bacardi family as a tribute to their founder Don Facundo Bacardi. It was created in 2013 to showcase the pinnacle of Caribbean rum craftsmanship and celebrate over 150 years of Bacardi tradition. Each edition of the collection is carefully blended from limited stocks stored in family archives in the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.

Facundo represents a fusion of history, luxury, and craftsmanship. The collection features several exceptional rums – from the fresher Neo, through the sophisticated Eximo, to the rare XO expressions Exquisito and Paraíso. The brand embodies the best of Caribbean rum, with an emphasis on detail, aging, and elegance, designed for connoisseurs seeking more than an ordinary premium rum.

Origin and Heritage
The story begins in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba, where Don Facundo established a distillery with the aim of taming the archaic, raw rum of the time and transforming it into a smooth, elegant distillate. In his research, he introduced methods that became standard – a proprietary fermentation culture, distillate separation, charcoal filtering, and aging in oak barrels. Facundo draws from this history, exploring archives and old barrels to uncover the maximum of the family heritage.

What sets it apart?
It consists of hand-selected blends of rums of varying ages – from a few years to decades. Each release is presented as a decorative decanter or luxury bottle, making it a collector's item. The focus is on the tasting experience, not just mixing into cocktails – the rum is recommended to be sipped slowly neat. Emphasis on complete craftsmanship from sugarcane (or molasses) cultivation through distillation, aging, to barrel selection, all in the spirit of the Bacardi family philosophy.

Notable Editions from the Facundo Collection
Facundo Neo – a blend of younger rums that are filtered with activated charcoal to remove color while preserving the profile; offers a smoother taste enriched with a hint of maturity.
Facundo Eximo – a rum that was blended before aging and then aged for 10-12 years in white oak barrels, with notes of dark chocolate, toffee, and walnuts.
Facundo Exquisito – another selected edition of blended rums aged 7-23 years, with a touch of sherry cask, notes of dried apricot, raisins, and roasted almonds.
Facundo Paraiso – the pinnacle rum of the collection, containing the rarest reserves of the Bacardi family, some distillates aged up to 23 years, finished in French XO cognac casks with notes of vanilla, toasted wood, and subtle spiciness.
