El Mayor Tequila is made from the highest quality Weber Blue Agave plants, cultivated in the highlands of Jalisco, known for its mineral-rich soil. The Gonzalez Lux distillery, located near the city of Arandas, employs the same methods used by the Gonzalez family for over 150 years to produce award-winning tequila. This meticulous process includes slow-roasting the agave hearts in ovens and double-distillation, ensuring the purity and smoothness of every bottle.

Grace Gonzalez, the daughter of Master Distiller Rodolfo Gonzalez, represents the fourth generation of the family’s craft. Having worked at every level of the business, Grace has developed a passion for the skilled techniques that make this tequila exceptional.
