Since 2009, Caorunn Gin has been handcrafted in small batches at the Balmenach distillery in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands. How can gin shine in a region known for its whisky? It all starts with the name.

Caorunn {pronounced “ka-roon”} is inspired by the Gaelic word for “Rowan Berry.” Wondering what’s in a name? The humble rowan berries are one of five unique Celtic botanical plants that form the foundation of this gin. They hand-harvest rowan berries along with four other Celtic botanicals from Scotland’s natural larder; all found within a ten-minute walk from the distillery. They then combine them with six traditional gin botanicals to create a brilliant recipe.

It is the only gin in the world that is distilled in a working copper berry chamber. This unique process allows for maximum flavor extraction from the botanicals, setting it apart from the rest. It’s not just brilliant, it’s brilliant gin.
