Božkov

In the Czech Republic, they prefer rums and domestic beers. From the traditional homemade rums loved by their ancestors to the real rums that have seen a huge boom in recent years.

Although the 'tuzemák' from Božkov has faced many changes, they have never affected the recipe or the quality. It is still made from the finest molasses alcohol, fine Pilsner water, sugar syrup, special caramel and vanilla flavouring. This gives it a beautiful golden colour and natural taste.

The fact that Božkov is the most popular brand on the market is evidenced not only by the fact that they have defended the title of Most Trusted Brand for the third year in a row, but above all by the fact that every second rum or domestic rum purchased in the Czech Republic is from the Božkov portfolio.

The popular "homemade" Božkov Original first floated out of the Pilsner Stock distillery in 1948. And even then it had the iconic sailing ship on the label, as it still does today, even after the labels of the entire Božkov portfolio have been redesigned.

Thanks to the success of the domestic portfolio, in 2012 they started to expand and decided to add a range of specials to the Bozkov family. And they haven't stopped developing new products that consumers have come to love.

Just like the real rums, the Bozkov portfolio boasts "gold" and "white" variants. With its dark colour and full-bodied flavour thanks to a balanced combination of caramel and spice, Bozkov Černý has been created for our consumers with respect for tradition, but with a dose of innovation.

Once the privilege and sometimes the currency of sailors in the Caribbean, rum began to build a strong tradition in the 20th century and has grown in popularity in recent years. The fact that Czechs have a taste for quality rum is evidenced by the success of Božkov Republica Exclusive rum, which was launched on the Czech market in 2018 and has become one of the most successful new products in STOCK's history.

Real rum is made from sugar cane and sweetened with cane sugar. Very popular are rums "blended" from several regions or aged in different ways, in which we can smell notes of vanilla, dried fruit, nuts or cherries. In addition to its sugar cane origin, genuine rum is characterised by a minimum alcohol content of 37,5 %.
