Bols

In 1575, Lucas Bols opened a small distillery with his family in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. Their curiosity and knowledge of the production of distillates led this family to constantly discover new tastes. They carefully selected the best ingredients and created original recipes that have kept their secrets to this day. For more than four centuries, their experience has been preserved in Bols products. Nowadays, the brand also works closely with professional bartenders from around the world and successfully adapts old recipes to today's trends.

A wide range of Bols liqueur variants can be divided into selected categories based on raw materials and method of production. Fruit liqueurs (usually named after the predominant fruit used), so-called "creams" (with a sugar content of at least 28%), core liqueurs (based on stone fruits and edible kernels), herbal liqueurs with additives of selected herbs and spices and so-called "emulsion" liqueurs. Consumption of liqueurs is very diverse, but mainly as part of mixed drinks.
