Bollinger is one of the renowned Champagne houses in France's Champagne region. Based in the village of Aÿ, it is celebrated for Champagnes of distinctive character, elegance and complexity. At the heart of Bollinger's signature style is the Pinot Noir grape, which brings structure, richness and depth to its wines. The house combines respect for traditional winemaking craftsmanship with meticulous grape handling and an unwavering focus on the quality of each cuvée. Bollinger Champagne appeals to lovers of refined sparkling wines who appreciate balance, aromatic richness and an unmistakable house style.

A Tradition Since 1829 and the Art of Champagne Making

Bollinger's history began in 1829, when Athanase de Villermont, Paul Renaudin and Joseph Bollinger founded the Champagne house in Aÿ. Its philosophy remains rooted in respect for the origin of its grapes, expertise passed down through generations and a meticulous approach to winemaking. One of the house's defining practices is the vinification of selected wines in seasoned oak barrels, which contributes to their aromatic complexity. Reserve wines also play an important role, with Bollinger preserving a proportion of them in magnum bottles. Their use in blending helps maintain the house's recognisable Champagne style from one vintage to the next.

French Champagne with an Unmistakable Character

The house's distinctive style is beautifully expressed in Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée, its iconic non-vintage Champagne crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier. The nose reveals notes of ripe fruit, baked apples, peaches and spice, complemented on the palate by hints of pear, brioche and fresh walnuts.
