Single-type whiskey from the Lowland region, which matures in three different barrels. These are Pedro Ximenéz sherry barrels, bourbone barrels and then oloroso sherry barrels. Auchentoshan Three Wood is a distinctive, triple-distilled whiskey.
Aroma: boiled fruit, sherry, caramel, tones of Bas Armagnac.
Taste: very rich - cherries in chocolate, ripe forest fruits.
Conclusion: balanced, tones of molasses and caramel, juicy woody tones complemented by green fruit.
